Flint Hills Resources Legal Department is responsible for achieving superior legal results for Flint Hills Resources, LP's businesses. We work on all of the company's legal matters, including lawsuits and arbitrations, environmental issues, safety regulations, contracts, government investigations, interpretation of state, federal and local laws, and intellectual property. The Legal Department is located in Wichita, KS, and we support FHR's operations in Alaska, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and Canada.

Work Experience/Skills Required:
• Seven + years experience in the area of environmental regulation, with a focus on regulatory compliance counseling, as opposed to litigation, or equivalent compliance enforcement or counseling experience in a government agency
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent judgment
• Strong work ethic
Work Experience/Skills Preferred:
• Compliance counseling particular to refining and chemicals or equivalent compliance enforcement experience with a government agency
Education Required:
• Juris doctor with strong academic credentials required
Education Preferred:
• JD from a top tier law school according to U.S. News and World Report
• Law review and law journal experience
